First, pick some nice ripe cherries from your garden.
Best with the morning dew on them.
Sort and rinse and measure. Find the canner. Get the jars sterilized. Make sure you have lots of sugar and Certo available. And a couple of hours later, you get this.
As autumn approaches, are you thinking about canning something?
No canning for me, but I’ll come over and eat some of that scrumptious jelly with you, Suzanne!
I’ll put the kettle on 🙂
I’ve never tried to do preserves, but your description sounds deceptively simple… 😉
Have I been deceiving myself all these years by thinking it is a hard thing to do?
Anything with sugar is relatively straightforward. Need to make sure all is sterilized and then it’s just step by step.
Of course, it’s totally inefficient when you can just go to the grocery store, but hey! This stuff is from My Backyard!
